Adhesive Product Testing

We specialize in the testing of adhesive products for conformance to the standards of TLMI, ASTM, PSTC, AFERA, and FINAT. We can tailor our testing to your company’s specific needs.

Testing Services

  • QUV – This procedure exposes your product to an accelerated exposure to sunlight. This is a 1,000 hour cycle test.
    Standard Test: ASTM-4329-99

  • PEEL TESTING – a Peel Test measures the force required to separate two adhered materials at a specified test speed over a specified length and angle. Tests are recorded at 20 minutes, 1 hour and 24 hours. There are 5 samples for each time frame and the results will be averaged
    Standard Test: PSTC-1 / PSTC-3

  • DROP SHEAR – This test is based on how long material will stay adhered when a certain amount of weight is suspended from product. There are 3 samples for this test and the results are averaged
    Standard Test: PSTC-7

  • ACCELERATED AGE TESTING – is based on how the material will hold up based on a typical environment. The parts will be heated to 158 degrees F. Every 24 hours of testing approximates two months of exposure to heat.
    Standard Test: PSTC-10

A FORMAL REPORT OF THE RESULTS WILL BE ISSUED AND SENT WITH THE INVOICE. IF DESIRED, A FILE CAN BE PROVIDED VIA EMAIL OF THE ACTUAL INSTRON PEEL TESTING DATA.
